FAQ
Do the tents have air conditioning?
No. Our eco-friendly tents are powered by solar panels and a fan is provided year-round. Each tent has a mesh door at the front and back and windows that can be unzipped to allow the lakeside breezes to naturally cool the tents.
We encourage guests to get out and about in the heat of the day to experience our amazing region; cool down while boating, fishing or swimming at Somerset, Wivenhoe or Atkinson Lakes or grab an ice cream or cold drink from the Office!
Will I have access to the toilet and showers?
Yes. Our amenities block is a short 1-minute walk from the Pure Glamping site and has toilets, hot showers and a Disabled/Family toilet and shower in one.
Despite being communal, they are kept exceptionally clean and tended to.
Is there power in the tents?
Lighting inside the tents are powered by solar panels and rechargeable battery packs. These battery packs can be used for the provided fans and mobile phone charging through the USB ports. Please note that these are not suitable for CPAP sleeping machines, hair dryers or straightening irons or kettles. You are more than welcome to use the main outlets available in the amenities block or BBQ area to charge or use these devices.
How many guests can stay in a tent?
Our Couples tents are designed for two guests maximum as the sleeping arrangement is one queen bed. Our Family tents can accommodate up to four guests and the bed configurations include one queen bed and two single beds.
Can I cook my meals there?

We provide a 26L Esky and one bag of ice upon arrival for you to store your food in your tent. Please note that we provide cutlery, plates, bowls, and plastic glassware, however you will need to bring your own cooking utensils.
Do I need to bring my own linen?

Is the tent waterproof?
Yes, as long as the doors and windows are fully zipped.
Can you lock the tents when you leave for the day?

Couples tents are 5m in diameter, giving you around 20 square metres of space.
